We believe in empowering neighbors to develop solutions and drive revitalization. Together, we will realize the possibilities to strengthen the economic, educational, physical, service, healthcare, and social environments of the Roosevelt Park Neighborhood.

Grand rapids public schools

Thanks to the voters and taxpayers of Grand Rapids, GRPS will be investing $20 million to build a new high school on Plaza Roosevelt as part of the expansion our Southwest Community Campus Spanish-English Immersion theme school. This investment also includes new preschool classrooms, new after school programming in partnership with Grandville Avenue Arts and Humanities, and special programing during school in partnership with the Hispanic Center.

The Cook Arts Center (operated by Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities) offers artistically and culturally diverse classes and programs that give students of all ages an opportunity to explore their creativity and enhance their skills, celebrate their own culture, and learn about the cultures of others. The Plaza Roosevelt development will facilitate expansion of GAAH’s Teen Leaders in the Arts program by providing additional space and fostering new community partnerships.
